Ultimate Protein Bars for the Avid Hikers
A breath of fresh air can make all the difference in
the world. Particularly for city folk, getting a break from the constant air
pollution and irritating noises is a boon! This and many other reasons are why hiking
is a popular form of an outdoor activity. Not only do you get to breathe fresh
air, look at amazing greenery and bond with yourself or others, but also hiking
is a great form of workout that helps keep you in shape.
As beautiful and exciting as it may sound, in
reality, hiking is not that easy. You have to pack all your equipment, first
aid kid, food and water in one bag and then carry that bag throughout the
course of your hike, traversing across uphill and rugged terrain. So, it would
make sense to pack light. While some things like a first aid kit and a bottle
of water may be non-negotiable, you can always pack less food but then risk the
chance of hiking hungry. Isn’t it possible to carry enough food in a light
backpack while hiking? Now, it is. With the advent of the protein bar and protein snacks, you can carry a small packet of food that is filled
with great amounts of nutrients which is more than enough to keep you going
throughout your hike.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that not all
kinds of protein bars will be the right fit. For example, a protein bar used by
a bodybuilder that’s filled end to end with protein and practically no taste,
will not be something you want to carry on a hike. Comparatively, a workout bar which has less yet a significant
portion of protein in it, is the best food item to carry on a hike.
